As many as 50 persons (including lecturers and the people who were already doing their MBBS, BDS/PG medical courses) involved in the mass cheating of Eamcet medical entrance test held on Friday across AP have been kept behind the bars due to the swift action taken by the authorities.
Gurivi Reddy gang which is known for their Hi-tech mass copying of competitive exams at stat and national level are behind this latest scam. These notorious criminal tried to leak the question paper of Eamcet medical entrance test prior to the exam using modern electronic gadgets. Eamcet officials were quick enough to pass the information about the gang to the cops who have done their job later.
The gang has been operating since 2010. They had used mobiles with bluetooth technology in Eamcet 2010 and also PG entrance test of PGI-MER in Chandigarh in the year 2012.
Around 80,000 students have attended the Eamcet test on Friday. A large section of Parents and Students have gathered at the Eamcet centre in Nizam College on Friday.
