Chandrababu clears air on T Stand



Expressing strong displeasure over the failure of the party in countering the TRS attack on TDP and its stand on Telangana, party President N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday asked party Coordinators of all Parliamentary constituencies to carry out vigorous campaign on the party's support to Telangana statehood and ally apprehensions among people of the T region.

Naidu held a grueling meeting with the in charges of Lok Sabha constituencies at party head office NTR Trust Bhavan here. It discussed important issues including the TDP leaders parting ways and losing people's faith in the party in the wake of 'confusing' statements made by party leaders of different regions on Telangana.

Party sources said the leaders informed Naidu that people apprehensive on the party's sincerity on Telangana. Responding to it, Naidu said TDP's stand on Telangana was clear. The district party units should take up campaign explaining people that Telugu Desam committed to the bifurcation of state and thwart away the attempts being made by anti- TDP parties to tarnish the image. He advised leaders to organize door- to- door campaign at villages and explain people about the party's manifesto mainly waiver of farmers loans and other promises made during Vastunna Meekosam Padayatra.

Predicting early elections to Lok Sabha, Naidu also instructed leaders to gear up party activities in all constituencies and prepare to face hustings anytime .

Adilabad MP Ramesh Rathod told newsmen that Naidu also enquired party's winning prospects in the ensuing local body elections. Based on the performance of the leaders in local polls, party seats will be allotted to contest in the constituencies in 2014 election.

Coordinators from Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy, Mahboobnagar, Warangal and Hyderabad were among the leaders were present in the meeting.
