This might sound unusual but then in south the idolization of film stars happens at a very intense level. It is no less than a demigod worship. That is one reason why superstars in south have an aura of their own among the general public. And here is one tradition which has been continuing from decades together.
Apparently, whenever their favorite star’s film is ready to hit the screens, some hardcore fans buy a new pair of clothes that day, visit the temple, pray for their hero’s success and go to the first day first show. Many people think this tradition was there in 80s and 90s but even today that tradition is there.
Those days, fifteen days before the film’s release they were giving cloth to the tailor, getting it stitched and then wearing it on the release day. But now they are buying clothes one or two days before release and going to temple to offer their prayers. This craze is still found in fans of Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Jr NTR.
